Glad to read your approach.I wrote a post last year that the SXSW experience is up to the individual. I take a similar approach with the focus of attending as many sessions as possible. Good pointers on scheduling meetings in advance. Here's to a productive conference.

Hi Jodi, I block all the friction-less sharing apps. Basically my take is if I have to sign up for an app to read an article then Facebook is getting involved in a part of the transaction that they should leave to nature. :)

Hope you are well!

I completely agree. I will not use the Washington Post's social reader. I don't need/want my friends/colleagues/random person I met one day 2 years ago seeing everything I read. Even if they would probably just wonder how I get any work done while reading the sports page, it is not something I wish to share. If I find something particularly compelling, then I will take the time to share it with my friends.

Great post! You're spot on about the differences between "reading" and "recommending." And that's exactly why I'm not terribly comfortable with Frictionless Sharing. I read a ton of stuff everyday. A lot of it is meaningless drivel, but hey, that and a cup of coffee gets me through the day. ;-) No one wants to see all the silly things I read. And honestly, I don't want to see everything my friends read. Too much noise. I DO want to see what they recommend however. It's a delicate balance between encouraging people to be social on social networks and filling people's social networks with meaningless chatter. I just want to make sure I control that, not Facebook or any other network for that matter.

Hi there

I have been doing between 3-4 classes of Bikram Yoga a week. I have had your experiences 3 times now. The first time I sat in the back of the room and tried to stay in the class. The last two times I had to leave. It happeed today infact but I came back into the class. I just find I needed to cool down and yeah, it took me to a panic attack. I find though if I go the next day I am actually able to do the whole class no problems. I was hoping it might be something as exciting as kundalini, but it doesn't seem to be. I find sometimes in Camel Pose when I come out of it I get a electrical sounding buzz in my head. I was told this was kundalini. I also find that my body stiphens up after doig bikram in my back, lower back but I keep going because I knwo its good for me and I love it. I find I get very emotional at times with it. But the pins and needles suck!
